Jazz Singer Nancy Wilson passes away at age 81

Nancy Wilson a Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, passed away Thursday in her home peacefully at age 81.
According to her manager Devra Hall Levy told AP, the jazz icon known for her style and class, passed in Pioneertown, California. Her manager and publicist Devra Hall Levy also confirmed her passing but did not know the specific cause.
Wilson made her debut on Capitol Records in 1960 and recorded ‘Guess Who I Saw Today’. Five years after, she won a Grammy for best new artist. That same year, her song ‘How Glad I Am’ moved to the top of the charts. Wilson has recorded over 50 albums within the five decades of her career. In 1999, she was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame.
Wilson left behind a son from her first marriage, two daughters from her second marriage, two sisters, and five grandchildren.
